Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.

I did a little web research. First thing I did was to look what www.panzerfahren.de, a german news site had when and where to say about interstate. More to come when I feel like it. Dates in ISO form, that means YYYY-MM-DD. All dates when the site reported it, the actual event might have happened earlier. Here's the first items (only the ones I considered intersting), in the order they were:
2003-06-10 Yellow Ferrari introduced, screenshots show it on highway. BTW, this was the first time I heard about Interstate as well
2003-07-07 First renders of the town system
2003-07-18 We're told that the team is working on Team Survival and Deathrace, though they won't say what this is
2003-05-08 First screenshots of Deathrace (and Survivor Arena as well, but who cares about that?) and explanation of the idea
2003-08-22 Release! Was this the very first release of Interstate? If it was, I've been playing Interstate ever since it's first public release...
2003-09-01 Update A1.1 brings new stuff such as "Jets unusuable" and "Duels with launchable knifes".
2003-09-04 Update to A1.2, mainly bugfixes, can no longer control altitude of blimp
2003-10-09 First WIP screenshots of Alcatraz map. It's a year and a half later now, but the map is still yet to come...
2003-10-28 First screenshots of Aurora Valley, claimed to be 87% finished (btw, how do you measure that?). This one did not take as long as Alcatraz...
2003-11-18 Info about what was then called A1.5, tells us all the weapons found in the weapons store, buggies, police cars, monster trucks, Lamborghini Miura and that british Ferrari with the steering wheel on the wrong side. Official screenshot with all cars:
2003-12-09 Release A1.6 with Country Side, Deathrace II and a lot of other stuff, including what was mentioned above.
2004-01-10 EA community update tells us that Interstate doesn't work well with the (then not yet released) Battlefield 1.6
2004-02-04 Something about a chat with Rexman. Although no explicit info is given, it seems like Interstate 2004 has been started some time before this.
2004-04-06 First time this site talks about Interstate 2004. Work will be continued on both mods.
2004-06-08 A-Team mod is announced, made by Total Illusions. According to what I've heard, it is officially dead today.
2004-07-10 Movieworld 0.18 can be downloaded. It's a mix of Interstate, Galactic Conquest and Eve of Destruction (and requires all of them installed to work). I didn't like it.
2004-07-22 Eleven months after the first public release, version 1.8 of Interstate is released. It gives us snow peak, streets, streets race, lakeside, tsunami, new load screens, helicopter, snow mobile, speed boat, Aston Martin (one fighter and two racer versions), two new environments (snow and city), the new building systems bob, aerial track large, docks and city and capture the flag.
2004-08-05 Interstate 1.81, a bug fix patch is released. It is the last official public release of Interstate. I hope it won't stay this way...
2004-11-17 Interstate 2004 is still alive and has a lot of screenshots.
2005-02-05 More Interstate 2004 screenshots get published. This is the last time Interstate was featured on panzerfahren.de.
I might look at other pages and try to figure out where they have different or more information. Too bad bf1982.com is down...
