I want a laptop that will run bf42 and 3dmax etc... it does not need to run bf2 really but I guess a BF2 and even Crysis capable (if possible) machine within budget would be good....
Any suggestions for a $500 (£250), $1000 (£500) and $1500 (£750) budget?
I don't have a clue about laptops.
Thanks dudes
Oh yeah.. and I thought this new forum area for hardware would be a good discussion area for this stuff.

Pretty much nothing, except for amount of RAM and size of harddrive, which in turn are served at insane prices over at Apple. Better of buying the lowest spec'ed, and change harddrive/upgrade RAM yourself. Its not that hard, and you wont break any warranty stickers.

1. alienware of course for gaming... 2. dell xps of course... 3. acer isnt that bad.. i have a tablet and it runs fine
brands to DEFENTLY NOT buy unless u want to replace hardware a week after the warrentee runs out.. 1. HP 2. compac ? are they still around? 3. tiger direct

Compac makes the screens for HP computer laptops, and thats the only bad thing about HP's, i have served more of those than you could count. and its allways the screen! There are some rare cases where the harddrive goes but that happens, the rest are just abused.
