Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
twist, there's a program that comes with ubuntu called emerald which allows you to edit your themes very precisely. and you can do slow motion with any action in ubuntu. the other eye candies like wobbly windows make everything seem more fluid during window movement, once you use ubuntu for a week and get used to the fluidness of the windows, the blocky windows in OSX and Windows
cochrane, those videos were just to display the various effects available, your theory Linuxitis is unfounded. If anything it should be "Compizitus" being that the effects are simply a plugin into the kernel. The various effects can be very usefull, being able to switch windows in different fashions is quite usefull, changing transperency of a window on the fly is very useful, the cube is very usefull for multitasking and the gears are just another eyecandy. There are many useless effects like the snow or the gears but that's why it's called eyecandy, there's nothing wrong with making your workspace look prettier and more interesting.
OSX is extremely simplistic and is directed towards the average computer user looking to get away from windows and not be able to upgrade their hardware without buying a new computer.
and cochrane, I'm not sure what network app you're talking about, Everything worked fine automatically for my network, and to get to my network HD all i had to do was type a few commands. BTW windows can't run OSX files except .mov's and other useless formats.
Ubuntu is 100% free and as secure as OSX, you have to pay at least 1500 dollars to get OSX, and Windows is $200 for an insecure $hit operating system
edit: twist your initial response tells me that you havn't tried any of the new releases of ubuntu because networking is quite easy. And Cochrane, you're obviously gay for Macs like most mac users, so even if they became more susceptible to viruses than windows and could no longer run windows files, you'd still love it. That may be a little extreme but my point is that you'll always lean toward a mac. And just a question, do Macs run windows files natively or do you have to reboot into windows/use VMware/emulate?
