Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker,com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
Still running final shadows.. but a quick render of the canyons and fence customs I made. The track texture was made in photoshop using vectors. It gives a clean edge like I used in Sun City. The car setups and Conversions were by Rubba and the 911 RSR is particularly good fun around the corners
There are around 20 different versions of the 911 in the map too so you should always get a different car from everyone else... thats Rubbas awesome 'random mesh' system in the model.
Last shadow gen took 30 hours so should have the map done in a coupla days.
that looks really cool i must say! so is it all just one big model, does that mean the map doesn't need a heightmap at all??! that should reduce loading time/lag right? nice skins too
it is a normal heightmap... with little hills etc.. not as flat as it looks. heightmap is a must have in my book for 2 reasons.. driving on it is way better.. and you get vehicle shadows.. which help to make bf42 look less old!
The canyon model is one huge static. The fences are 2 huge statics... and aside from the hangar and a few trees/bushes.. thats it.
