Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
I've been wanting to get a new PC for the longest time. And now that I can financially, I've decided to build my own. All I wanted is something that will run the newest games smoothly on high relatively well. And the price tag not be totally out of line. Well, after looking around for the best prices on hardware, I think I've came up with a setup most would accept. With the recycling of some parts from my old PC as well.
This one is up to you, but I like the side window. Included, a fan that shoots right to where the graphics card is located. Not to mention it's a solidly built case and spacious enough for your needs.
Processor: AMD Phenomâ„¢ X4 9850 Black Edition Quad-Core 2.6 a Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology $120.00 (ebay)
Why this processor? I like to support the underdog AMD. I've had experience with this processor in the past and it held its ground quite well. It comes with an AMD heatsink and fan which anyone would be pleased by.
Motherboard: M3A78-EM AMD Socket AM2+ DDR2-1066 PCI-Express $65.00 (ebay) This motherboard works exceptionally well with the AMD Phenomâ„¢ X4 9850. Due to the X4 9850's major 125W pull, It's able to hold up to the requirements. Some motherboards that currently support the Phenomâ„¢ X4 9850, seem to miss the wattage rating which can lead to sub-par performance out of the CPU.
Salvaged right out of my old PC, but I've priced around $30 to $40 new on ebay. Four Gigs are common to see these days. But I've found if I'm not running Vista, I don't need 4 Gigs.
Eh, I really don't need to explain why I chose this one. There are other cards that would be great for gaming and fit your budget. If anything the 9800 Series is a solid mainstream card for the price.
CD Drives: 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER
Right out of the old PC, but you can find good quality drives for relatively cheap.
Operating System: Windows XP Professional Home Edition / SP3
Wouldn't want anything else. I'm pleased with the simplicity and resource saving of this OS. Used the CD that came with my old PC.
All of that totals to about $558.00 Not added in is the price of Shipping, Hard-drive, CD drive, and also cables and hookups. I just used the hookups right out of my old PC if I needed to. If you search around for prices I'm sure you could meet the range of $600.00 easily. And have a great quality PC for sometime to come. If your not so great with computers the internet is full of resourceful information about installing hardware. A simple search of Google can lead you into the right places for guiding you through the building of your PC. I will upload pictures as soon as the camera is found.
Screenshot: I did upgrade to a 9850 Black Edition
Motherboard:
Heatsink:
Graphics card: Angled the camera into the PC to take a pic of the graphics card and with the LED lights on this is what I got. I thought it looked cool. You can kind of see the 9800GTX+ logo
Case: I turned the flash off to see the LED lights so these shots are not that great for some reason.

Very good build, although I have had a few ultra power supplys fail on me when I received them. I'm scared to buy PSU's online :p

Just a few small criticisms, but looks pretty good.
1. you should take shipping into account. buying from a bunch of different places may be more expensive. I personally would stay away from eBay for components and stick with a more trusted store like Newegg or Zipzoomfly(especially CPU, mobo, HD) just in case you have to RMA.
From past experiences I've learned to not trust the power supply included in cases. The majority fail within the first few months if not days. Like I said I like to support the underdog AMD. I looked around for the best prices. If you pick a qualified ebay seller, You shouldn't have any problems in the items you choose. I've had none what so ever and have used ebay for years.
why a 1gb 9800? 512mb is more than enough for that card. it isn't powerful enough to make use of 1gb.
the newer ati 4870 has a 1gb version, and it only really helps at higher resolutions, usually when the framerate isn't really playable anyways. so obviously the 9800 will make even less use of it than the 4870.
just my 2 cents.

the 1gb will help if he runs games at a large resolution and will help with high settings.
