I'm glad that i76 and i82 inspired is82 via BF1942.
I'm even more satisfied that is82 is such a better game.
One day there will.be a proper mix of the two game styles.

so I spent a load of money on a new system..

I'm running a core i7 extreme with 2x GTX280's in SLI.

My prob is that when not running SLI, everything is fine.. but with SLI my fps doubles.. which is great... but I get weird artifacts around guns and player model etc.. (in Crysis, 3dmark vantage, HL2)

(bf42 is fine.. but to be honest.. bf42 could run on a cellphone these days so its not much of a test for it)

I'm suspecting a memory issue with one of the cards but before I go sending stuff back I thought I'd see if anyone here has much experience with SLI and issues... anything else to check or consider.

I have googled but not really found the same issues.

how hot do the cards run at in sli? Try going to older drivers

not sure how hot.. but i can increase the fans through the nvidia CP to the point where my grandmother starts being blown into the room.. so i dont think they are too hot.. ive not OC'd yet or anything like that..

Where do I get old drivers?

tried running them in your system, one at a time?

take one out and test it, then swap it with the other. see if they both work fine by themselves.

well.. at least I know what the problem was anyway.

They will replace so I should be all good.
