Soooo, I've been searching with Jurgen a lot of times since I posted the last message in this thread... Found old (still unexploded) WW2 bombs (we called the Explosive Ordnance Disposal for that), found WW2 bullets, coins, shrapnel, Dutch Eighty Years' War (1568–1648) bullets, old gate locks, pottery shards and lots more!
Jurgen (the archeologist) gave me an old US WW2 Normandy dog tag. I did some research and I've found a lot of info concerning the soldier. Jurgen and I talked about it and we think about searching for the soldier's (if he's still alive) or his family's contact details. A few months ago a Dutch guy somewhere in the Netherlands had the same experience. He found a US dog tag from Operation Market Garden and contacted the soldier's family. He then got a free flight to the States and gave the dog tag to it's rightful owners.
I hope we can find the family of the soldier of our dog tag. I'm really excited!
