Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
ASSUMED >> You know how to extract/pack your map and use BC to place items.
Ok, i had a lot of trouble with this in my map, Too Blue, so i'll explain how it's done. Listen carefully, its complicated.
Ok, First You Will Need A Folder Named Objects In The Main Root Of Your Map Directory and a folder named Sounds
In your main Init.con you will need to add this line to the bottom run objects/objects
Now Make A Directory Inside Of Objects With The Name Of The Object You Wish To Play Sound, For Instance, Radio
Or, if you want to take an object, such as a disco, and add custom sound, then you will need to extract the objects.rfa in the interstate/archives directory and in the buildings folder, copy the disco folder, and paste it in your Objects folder.
>>IF you're editing an object to add sound, disregard this part, continue when i state so<<
Make a text file named objects.con In the Objects folder and add this line to it run <object name>/Objects (ex: run radio/Objects)
Now Under Objects/<object name> Create a text file named Objects.con and add:
ObjectTemplate.create Bundle Radi ObjectTemplate.setPosition 0/0/0 ObjectTemplate.setRotation 0/0/0 objectTemplate.loadSoundScript Sounds/Radio.ssc
Now In objects/<object name> Create A Folder Named Sounds in objects/<object name>/Sounds/ Create radio.ssc With This
Now for the music.. when you find the music file you want, you need to convert it to .wav, but not so fast.. the wav has to be in the exact right format and quality or it WILL NOT work, so listen up. Download a program, like Cool Edit Pro 2.0 (free trial <a href="http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/1/4/11-1-4-6.shtml">here</a>)
Now, open the sound file you want, click edit, convert sample type. It Should Be 11025 hz 16bit Mono. Then, click SAVE AS and save to desktop as a Windows PCM Wav.
Then move your .wav file to your Sound folder. Now, go back to the radio.ssc that you made, and change the YOURWAVHERE to the name of your wav (ex: Radio.wav)
Now That You Have The Files And Such Added Into Your Map, Now On To The Placing Of The Object Which Is Quite Simple.
You need to repack your map, and add it back into your levels folder. And Open your level in BC. Now place an object, that you aren't using anywhere else in your map and you know you wont use where you want the sound to come from, such as the uspsbox. Then save the map and re-extract it. Then edit the Staticobjects.con From The main Map Directory
Once In The staticobjects.con Search For Your uspsbox, If It's The Last Object You Placed Then It Should Be At The Bottom OF The File.
Now, Save your staticobjects.con File And Then Add It Back Into Your Map, repack your map and add it to your levels folder. Now you should be good to go!!
<<IF editing an object, such as the disco, CONTINUE here>>Now, in your objects folder, make a textfile named Objects.con and the following line
run disco/Loader (disco being the object you're modifying)
Now, in your disco folder add a textfile named Loader.con, in that file, add the following lines
run Objects run Geometries
Now put your new .wav file in your Sound Folder
Now, goto objects/disco/sounds/ and open disco.ssc with wordpad.
Now, find the line that starts with Load and change it to..
load bf1942/levels/<map name>/sound/<wav name>Now save it, repack your level and add it to your levels folder.
Now you should be good to go!!!
To make the sounds loader/quitier etc just play around with the settings, you can always come back here and get this one if you mess it up..
I hope this was clear enough.. It's late, im tired..
