Having some trouble with my new toshiba sattelite. i cant install bf2 and bf1942 because disc errors : ( is my drive to sensitive to scratches? I cleaned the disks. . . so anyways i just tried copying the cd directly to my hd and i still get a disc read error. i need an expert

 ur comp fails. i have vista as well but nvr had any probs like that. sry can't help

 threw my bf cd1 onto a ext HD from another comp which can read it and am now instaling it on the laptop . . . getting to the magic 28% and ...WOOOT we are clear... now lets hope 1000 other people don't have my cd key xD

 you need to try and clean the readers lens, if its dusty its hard for it to read at all.

if its all clean and new looking;
you need to buy a new dvd reader. they are not so expensive and they are easy as shit to change.
