Bored by my Mac screenshots yet? I hope you are, it's my goal. This one shows a DDS QuickLook plugin I just wrote. QuickLook is a new function in Leopard that automatically creates icons and previews (up to full-screen size) for anything it knows. With this plugin, you can see the DDS files used by many games, including Battlefield 1942. Notice that it's not a converter, although it won't be a problem to write a converter either, I just didn't come around to it. To install, download it from http://ferroequinologist.de/software/ddsquicklook/ddsquicklook.zip and put the file into /Library/QuickLook or ~/Library/QuickLook (create if folder doesn't exist yet), then go to terminal and run "qlmanage -r", close all finder windows, and it should work as expected. If not, restart Finder. Doesn't support PowerPC, doesn't support anything prior to 10.5 (duh). I'll make a full release, including source, as soon as I have PowerPC working.
