you figure out lightmaps... man it would just all look groovy with a shadow or two!

It is shameful that this community.. dedicated to modding bf42... for 4 YEARS! has still not figured this minor detail out

 yeah.. but still if you look close there are lightmaps.. kinda.. some parts on the objects are darker.. and my problem is that I cant get lightning to work anymore in my own maps.. not even on the player models like you see in this screenshot

 i edited the light settings for the map.. so it looks more.. yeah.. cartoon-ish xD i tried adding lightmap to the desk.. and it got normal light settings and stuff.. which didnt fit at all..
