My Car's New Shoes

I just bought and fitted my car with these brand new 18" VW alloys. an improvement over the standard 15"s that came with it, and they are polished aluminium, not painted silver, so they sparkle nicely! they cost £500, or about $1000, including tyres they also dont add to the insurance premium!!

 get some blue magic metal polish from napa or any similar automotive store. Rub the blue stuff onto your rims, wipe off the black residue, then wax to hold the shine longer. It will be magic.

 they're not dirty joe, they are 2 tone; polished aluminium and dark silver

 I see the two tone, and I know what polished rims normally look like, but apply the stuff I recommended and it may come out just shy of mirror like.

 they wont, as its a sort of brushed finish. hard to describe really

 I work in a machine shop, I know what kind of finish that is, and trust me I have used metal polish on brushed finishes. They don't turn out perfectly mirror, but they do turn out a lot shinier.

 buying proper alloys avoids the cheap and tacky chrome look, maybe you dont wont a mirror finish.
