OK... For the last two years I have been eying these two ...I guess you could call them ...mounds. Ill try to describe them... They are two evenly sized small hills about the same height as my FJ. They are right beside each other, kinda of like giant whoops... Anyway... I use to have a Wrangler, and always wondered if it could go over them... Never got around to trying it. So, after having my FJ for about 6 months... I decided that today was the day to take these mounds on... My FJ is set up with OME medium lift and Cooper SST 285's. ATRAC hack, but no recovery.... (uh oh)...
So, I make sure nobody is around. I check them out closely to find the best path over these red Oklahoma mounds. I pick my spot and slowly go for it.... So far so good...
My front tires start up the incline, making the angle, thanks to my 3" OME lift. I ease up the front slope, pausing slightly as the rear tires reach the accent angle. At this point I have my FJ in low with the locker on. Im thinking that this thing rocks!!!! I am making it up the face NO PROBLEM!!!!
Not a tire slipping on the smooth surface!!! I go a bit further and my front tires reach the summit...but then alomost immeadiately start down the other side... Before I can even react... the FJ suddenly stops... I am high centered. At this point, I figure I can turn on the Atrac and back up... Yea right... No luck...
I spend the next 30 minutes or so trying to wiggle forwards or backwards, but not really making in progress...
Right about now your probably thinking what I was.... a winch would be nice right about now... However, there was absolutely nothing to hook on to.. Just smooth surfaces all around....
I dont have a shovel or jack or anything with me...totally unprepared..
At this point it was getting late.. so I took a deep breath and faced the fact that I was stuck and not going to get unstuck...
The realization had hit me...
I was pretty much gonna be screwed...!!!
I guess the moral of this story is this.....

..There are some places that an FJ just shouldnt try to go....!!!
