Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
Well, 1.9 hasn't exactly taken much form yet, mainly because we can't really get around to organizing and well, it's hard to really decide what to put in it. The general BF1942-playing crowd is becoming smaller, since this game itself is 7 years old by now. The majority of us veterans are diehards who simply enjoy the freedom of the game, and those of us who can code/mod simply love how the game engine lets us do nearly whatever we want. Therefore, most of us tend to make map-mods that are more for our personal interest, but are also something that other people will still wanna play. For example, FLaMiN made a nice set of desert-theme circuit maps, and I put a bunch of drift cars in one of those maps. I also put a giant monster battleship in one of his desert-themed battle maps. Yet, we still released all our stuff. Also, fall and winter are not the best seasons to expect mod progress. I'm gonna be busy with university, and quite a lot of us old veterans work full-time now. (We all started out so young!) Basically, you can't really call this mod dead. New content is still being added in the form of map-mods. I definitely suggest taking up some modding tutorials, though. It's always nice trying the new stuff that other people put into their maps, but the most fun you'll have is when there's something you wanna put in, and you have the power to do it.
