Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker, com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
hey guys, i am here today to make a case as to why Millard and I should be prime candidates for community admins as well server admins, Millard and i have played battlefield 1942 for over 5 years and have been avid interstate 82 players for at least 3, not only do we understand the mod, we understand the community.
First i will explain why we would be good server admins, Millard and I play bf 1982 most of the time from 12pm-12am (ET) even when the servers are empty, we go in there n hopes that our extra numbers on the player count will encourage players to come in and play. We are also courteous and helping anytime a new player joins or a nostalgia player joins, over the years we have also made very good friends in the community such as Black Swordsman, Lt Kruger, gooddaytodie, shooter, and many others. Normally when we play at these times admins are scarce (especially later in the day on weekdays) and we become sad when we cant turn on friendly fire, or kick a person who is being an asshole. If we are ever mean to somebody it is always followed by a ":)" or "<3", unless the person is an asshole, then I normally just ignore them. By now I'm sure your asking how would us having 82 server admin help you guys? well having 82 server admin would help us increase security for the server and help deter anybody who deters other players from playing. As well as add time to a almost about to change server map so that more people stay, lastly we can congratulate people who finish the map with server commands making the person feel more welcomed and a higher sense of gratification when finishing a map.
Next I’d like to explain why millard and I should also be community admins. I am a junior at Baruch College in NY, this school is one of the tops for business, and one thing you learn there from their numerous fields of business is that you need divisions, you need people who do things for the consumer, and people who do things for the product. Translated into this, you need people who deal with the community, and people who deal with the mod, and subdivisions when you further expand, but when you have divisions you have specialized people working in their specialized fields so the workload is less which increases productivity. Now I know what your thinking, why should we be community admins? Well ill tell you, Millard and I are great, funny, and nice people who only wanna have fun, but when things get out of hand we are never afraid to say that the line is being crossed. We wouldn't be taking away any power from you guys, but millard and I want to help 82 prosper and flourish like we always wanted to for this mod. Millard and I are in our 20’s and we are mature adults as community admins our responsibilities would be: -moderate forums -post news (comical or serious, and both ) -create events -be connected to your arsenal of modders, and report anything to the community -hopefully increase overall traffic -hopefully increase donations I say hopefully because this is a 2-way relationship, if we get people, we need them to be happy with new content and good content. And by dividing the workload we believe that this would increase content and quality.
Millard and I are 2 genuine people who want this mod to grow and become big like we always envisioned, and we would like to offer our help to make that vision a reality. We plan to give in a lot of support with our people skills, our funniness, our hope to see this mod grow, and our writing experience. I hope that you guys take some time for your decision and ill see you guys in the server. Respectfully, Dan Dolinsky (DeAtH) Anthony Kratz (MillardFillm0re)
Sounds like a great idea to me. It is a tough crowd but I know from experience that when the admins try it usually pays off a bit. so a concerted effort will bring results. I am happy to give you guys access for news and moderation and admin rights on the server. Im guessing others will agree but will let them respond.

I havent seen death around enough to put in any input either way, however a recent rules violation then direct ignorance of admin requests by 2 seperate admins caused Millard to be kicked from the server showing doubt in his character and respect of our long time standing rules and respect to other players.

I don't see why millard and death wouldn't be server admins, since they are always on the server and keep it populated. They are awesome dudes and are really dedicated to this mod. Ask ala for server admin. I approve of the [ISR] tags.
But I don't see you guys post often on the site, but why not site admin.
thanks for the endorsements guys. i've really enjoyed getting to know the people in the community over the years. even though is82 is a few years old, the 100+ maps and the players keep it fun for me.
as for ace - i'm kinda annoyed that i even have to defend myself on here man. i play interstate for fun and i don't play to break the rules on purpose. in my experience, it's become sort of a tradition to team kill after a map is over. as for the spamming of radio commands; me and krueger have this sort of unspoken agreement to greet each other by spamming "enemy infantry spotted!". i don't think he speaks english very well, so i think it's partly a way of saying 'hey'. we were just messing around when you kicked us. i'm sorry if you took it the wrong way. and people shortcut maps a lot in is82. and i think it's part of the game to try to find new shortcuts and then share them with people because it's fun trying to do new shortcuts. but of course, you should still respect the players that want to play the whole map and let them cap the flag first.
anyway, sorry for the long reply. i just don't want to be thought of as someone that disrespects the rules or doesn't get along with people. i don't have a problem with anyone that plays is82, you guys are awesome .

its an unwritten rule to spawn kill someone over 80 times?
and dont even think about talking to me about shortcutting... i wrote the book on it.. the difference is we shortcut to catch up with the leader.. u shortcut just cus u cant do the map
iv been around a hell of a long time.. the player base has gone from some of the most inteligent people i know... to the most immuture bunch of people i have ever seen..
1. sounds good to me had loads of fun with those 2 on the server, but not seen them much around here... Didnt admins used to HAVE to be invited?... not apply.. and besides.. they got 11 and 9 forum posts total each... I wouldnt really say that qualifies for forum/community admin... would you?....
2. Ace is right.. Radio commands are sent to ALL the player on the team.. not just you and your friend with the unspoken bond.. In short - spammed, warned, spammed, warned, spammed, kicked.. join back in, quit whining.. its no big deal..
Admin rights on the server is fine by me.. But i'd say wait alittle longer with the forum/community stuff.. Besides.. if they wanna make news.. there is this nice submit news button.. and they can also start forum threads.. If someone is being a douche or saying inappropriate things.. then the ban-stick will be the last thing said person will see.
Thanks for the mostly positive replies, i never posted with the intention of automatically receiving any of these statuses. And about our posting, well normally the types of threads u see here are mapping threads, and i cant really help with that lol. and i dont see a reason to start a thread talking about an idea, which would take away attention from people with real problems with the mod, id rather see new people then ramble about my ideas. Thank you guys and i can wait for community admin if thats what you guys say, im here for fun, anything you guys say go. and even if i didnt get anything id still play. im just confused as to what was agreed here lol.
I'd let death get the supernatural admin powers on the server not sure about millard tho, well at least not yet. But they are both good guys, but i think for now, only death is the one who should be allowed to use the disco-stick
