It would make this skin fantastic.. Just imagine! BF2 supports that right? Eh yeah. Well whatever, just got bored for 5 minutes, decided to "copy" enfo's lizardskin.
with 3ds: -Open the texture editor/map editing window by hitting M -Pick whatever texture you want your bump map to have -Scroll down till you find the "Maps" rollout, and open it up by clicking on it -Find the "Bump" map and click the box, then to the right click on the grey box under the Map column -Click Bitmap if you want to use a bump texture that you already have -Once selected, you can change the amount of bump mapping on the texture by changing the number value next to where it says "Bump" -One should hopefully expect you to know how to apply your texture/map to your object, if you don't, then you shouldn't be reading this. __________________
www.google.com!! search for bumpmapping. For the utterly lazy non-googlers:
Bump mapping is an old technology that has recently come to the scene. Matrox was the first to really promote various forms of bump mapping in popular 3D gaming a few years ago. It's all about creating a texture that shows the way light falls on a surface, to show bumps or cavities in a surface.
