Just thought i'd do a timemline for ferrari, the lows, and highs. At first i really idn't like ferrari because i was born in the 1980s when ferraris were horrible plastic looking boxes, with a typical 70s styling which definately wasn't timeless, its looks really outdated now.
I started to look back through the timeline and found the best ferrari ever made was towards the begining of its life.
330 GTS:
This is beautiful, and i'm sure you would agree. Perfect bodywork, tasteful chrome trim, and quality look, that doesn't date.
Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder:
It seems spyders were the best back then when the coupe had not yet been perfected.
Ferrari 250 GTO
This was one of the first coupe from ferrari which really stood out as a quality car, with a roof.
Then Unfortunately there was a LONG period in which ferrari completly lost its style, and concentrated of performance, which did put them above their rivals, but not always.
With such crap as the Ferrari 400 on the low end:
At the top end we had the TestaRossa which was about as plastic and flimsy as cars can look, with lights that were looked as if they've been lifted straight from a tractor or lorry, and any old parts they could find lying around, hardly the type of stuff that comes with quality in mind. There were vents they made it look like an air-con machine.
Good thing was they gave you a wide and flat picnic table at the back:
Things started to look better with the 456 gt, the best looking coupe for ferrari in a long time, which looks like a quality car, with a modern look, which i think was quite ahead of its time, because it still look modern today, in a time when they were still producing the Testarossa.
Then came the first combination of performance, style, and quality in the 355 which was a fantastic car in everyway.
After the 360 and 550/575 which were too dull to mention anymore, we have a fantastic looking ferrari again, Two actually!!
Ferrari 612:
Ferrari 599:
F430, a good car but not too pretty and bit to wide and stretched looking:
