Last Month the Japanese try to retrive this mod a little bit more. They played in the at 2pm CET. At the moment the gametracker,com Server Monitorring is off. Hope soon they turn it on. The ranking seems to work.
I'm sure you all have noticed i have converted frederic zanella's hitachi eh1700 to bf1942. problem is i have nowhere to put it. if i keep it in my test map for too long, everything's gonna clutter up. i can't do the mapping, i would if i could. the reason i can't is because in november, due to incorrect driver upgrading, battlecraft no longer can detect the open-gl extensions, even after frequent reinstall/redownload. Here's what i was thinking for the map, though. something like this
if u see near the bottom of the pic, there are 4dump trucks on the road. if i'm correct, those dump trucks are about the same size as the hitachi eh1700, so you'll get a good idea of how big i want the map. Here's what i was thinking of for the scenario. After evading a police raid, the kingpin hit the road, in search of a new site to deal their goods (drugs). They discover an abandoned coal quarry, and decide to make it their new home. After being ratted out by some adventurous atv-riders, who happened to stumble across their new hideout, the police have arrived, to end the kingpin's sales once and for all.
the cops have set up a base near the main entrance of the quarry, where they have plenty of prepared officers, vehicles, and supplies.
the kingpin have a flag at each of the 5 foreman's cabins at the quarry.
the cop flag cannot be capped, since there are constant reinforcements being brought in.
however, all of the vigilante flags can be capped.
objectives
Vigilantes (cops) - capture all 5 flags, and eliminate all remaining kingpin members, thus making the quarry safe again.
Kingpins - maintain control of the quarry, and defend it from the oncoming officers. kill all of the officers, to prove a point that the government cannot control you.
the vehicles available will be the kingpin's main transport vehicle (still to be decided), which will have at least one placed at each foreman's office. the vigilante's will get specially-suited cop cars. (also still to be decided, due to many variations available.) and scattered about the quarry will be a small quantity of hitachi dump trucks, which figured to be too much of a hassle to transport, so the old construction crew just left them there.
the map size will probably most likely be medium.
if anyone is willing to take the challenge, please feel free to speak up. i'd like to say "no experience necessary", but obviously, this may require experience.
hey teabag, there's no hurry, so i hope you enjoy your week of whatever you will be doing . and you also seem quite experienced, so i'd be honored to have u do the mapping

rubba... that would be a sweet map but the problem is that with battlecraft and editor 42 those curves and ledges on the hills would be near (if not) impossible...

well, maybe you could just use alot of the normal road for the quarry wall/ledges and a big area at the bottom, maybe even a quick way up the quarry jsut for the vigilantes
