i've recently ordered (and its on its way) a one terrabyte external hard drive. now anyone has to admit that is alot of space. but where were we ten years ago? i remember our first computer having just over a gigabyte of hard drive space, and we were impressed, as that meant we could instal so much stuff (back in the day things like games were 20-50mb big)
in ten years our storage has gotten over one thousand times bigger, so where will we be in another ten years time... a petabyte hard drive? (1000TB)
and another thing, today we have things in megabytes and gigabytes, which we refer to as "megs" and "gigs" (dam noobs, say it properly!) as halox pointed out, what are we going to call terrabytes, Terra's? Tebs? ...?

I agree, it's amazing currently use two 500 GB hard drives (alternating, one is always stored elsewhere) for backup, and compared to the prizes two or three years ago, they were practically free. Actually, the second one was free because it was a christmas gift, but that's not the point here.
