 Laptops are nice for working, but for games, any laptop that can do better than Counterstrike is going to be expensive and suck at actually being a laptop (i.e. battery life). So if you're into gaming, go get yourself a good DX10 system.

As for ATI or Nvidia: I voted Nvidia because they're on top of the list, but actually I would wait until ATI publishes it's own DX10 cards before making this decision.
