Your crew would desert you, leaving you alone on a remote island in the Nowherian Ocean. The local wildlife and vegation will prove you with many, possibly lethal, challenges, which will weaken you considerably. After a month, you will start seeing hallucinations of your crew and your hat, mocking you, which will drive you insane.
At the same time, your crew will tell at home that you bade the pirate's life farewell and went to live with your gay lover. Your pirate family will renounce you and while you slowly start starving to death, nobody will ever say a friendly word about you again.
Eventually, you will be found, by a clipper of the East India Trading company that went off course. Due to your madness and starvation, they don't even consider whether you might be worth rescuing. The captain shoots you, just for fun, while the crew steals the meager stockpile of food you collected. They will leave you on the shore, with a bleading bullet wound, unable to move, eat and drink. At night, the sea crabs will start biting at you, expecting you to die before long. Finally, after fourty hours of this torture, you will finally find your peace in death.
But as you walk towards the light, you will see that the gates will not let you through. Instead, a different voice calls for you, demanding the payment you promised for the greatest hat of all times. You will be damned to an eternity of suffering in hell, for you will find that you cannot cheat the devil.
And I wish I hadn't just wasted my time writing all this.

You will find the rotten corpse of LordVader, who died here alone and forgotten (see above), and who will, in between torture sessions in hell, come back to haunt you as a ghost because you took his hat (see above). Will you truly disregard what is on it?
